A Little Note From the Studio (And an Apology) ✨

First — we owe you an apology.

We know it has felt a little quiet around here lately.

Behind the scenes, though, something big has been happening.

On December 15th, contractors began work on what will become our brand-new Midnight Skein Society design and dye space — and it has been a full winter adventure. Construction should be complete by March 15th, and we are finally seeing it come together.

(Scroll down for progress photos — the floors are in!)

This new space changes everything for us.

January was brutally cold here in Virginia — single-digit days, frozen hoses, and more than a few “why do we live here?” moments. Until now, winter temperatures have limited how and when we could dye. With this dedicated, insulated design space, we’ll be able to dye consistently year-round — even when Virginia decides to audition for the Arctic.

That means:

  • More consistent restocks

  • More frequent new colorways

  • Filming dye process videos (without our breath showing!)

  • Hosting future community classes and events

We are especially excited about the warmer weather arriving this week. As the temperatures rise, so does our energy — and we cannot wait to start filming again and sharing the creative process with you.

Thank you for your patience during this building season. We promise it will be worth it.

This next chapter is about growth, consistency, and creating a true home for our community.

Adventure is coming. ✈️🧶
