We are located in Virginia near Richmond. Our dye studio is closed to the public, but you can find us occasionally at Local Yarn Stores in the Northern to Central Virginia area and at shows and festivals.

Due to the unique nature of hand-dyed yarn, we do not accept returns or exchanges on our products. We will happily replace a faulty product at no cost to you with a similar or identical skein if there is an error in craftsmanship or fulfillment. If you are not satisfied with your yarn, please let us know within 30 days of receiving your order and we will do our best to find a solution.
Digital products (i.e., patterns) are also not eligible for return or exchange.
While some of our yarns and spinning fibers may be superwash and are technically machine washable, we recommend all projects be hand washed in cool water with a gentle detergent to ensure longevity.
We recommend Eucalan Wool Wash as a great way to keep your finished projects clean.
Because we are hand dyers and dye our yarn and spinning fiber in small batches our finished products vary from batch to batch. This is part of the beauty of a hand made product.
We recommend any project that uses multiple skeins of yarn be worked in alternating rows from two skeins at a time to prevent any color pooling.
We do not dye in dye lots and cannot guarantee an exact match. Yarn from the same dye pot tends to be the closest matches. We recommend buying all the yarn you would need for a project at one time, and purchasing at least one extra skein in case your gauge is larger than expected.
If you need a large number of skeins to match (a minimum of 4 skeins), we recommend contacting at support@whichwaycrafts.com to set up a custom order. Custom orders may take up to 8 weeks to fulfill.

We’re always venturing into uncharted color territory. Now and then, our experiments take unexpected turns—happy accidents that yield truly unique results. These rare and unreproducible colorways are treasures of the moment, available only while supplies last.
We’re always charting new courses through yarn and fiber. Occasionally, our journeys lead us into uncharted territory—experimental bases and blends we’re testing on the trail. These limited offerings may one day join our permanent collection, but for now, they’re part of the adventure.
We use primarily use acid dyes. We are constantly experimenting with colors from multiple dye manufacturers.
Once you reach out via email, we’ll schedule a Zoom consultation to walk through our dyeing techniques, available color palettes, and a range of yarn and fiber bases. Together, we’ll design a one-of-a-kind colorway tailored to your next project.

Yes, shipping is included in all of our subscription box services.
New memberships activated 15 or more business days before the first Friday of the month will start with that month’s shipment.
If you join fewer than 15 business days before fulfillment, your first box will arrive the following month. Even if you cancel after joining, you'll still receive your final box and enjoy your 10% member discount right away.
Every subscription includes a preference form so we can tailor your box to your tastes. If a colorway in an upcoming box matches one of your "please never send me" colors, we’ll reach out and let you choose a replacement from our Members-Only Collection or one of our public colorways.
If you ever receive a color that’s not your cup of tea, just contact us. We’ll work with you to find a solution and update your preferences for future boxes.
