Canyon Springs

The canyon walls rose around me, painted in shades of rust and brown by centuries of sun. The air was dry, heavy with silence—until I heard the trickle of water. Following the sound, I found a spring pooling at the canyon floor, turquoise and green shimmering against the stone. Sage plants leaned close, and the contrast of heat and coolness struck me as something eternal. Back at the dye pots, I wove that vision into wool—earth, water, and life bound together.
